Marcelly Joyce Mello Williams

Economist, Educator, Yoga Instructor, Writer, Content Manager & Mystic Dancer

With vast experience that encompasses different forms of art, I bring with me deep knowledge and contagious passion for Dance and Yoga. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, I have dedicated over 10 years to these practices, accumulating countless hours of training. I am also a student, teacher, and performer of Egyptian (Belly) Dance and Indian Classical Dance.

I began my artistic journey during the years I lived in Berlin, Germany, where I went to find my (new)self. It was there in 2015 that I discovered and started practicing Yoga. It was love at first sight. I started my practice alone, and it took two more years until I found my first Yoga Master, Dhira Krsna Das, a devotee and director of São Paulo’s Temple of the Vrinda Mission, a Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition under the direction of Srila Bhaktikavi Atulananda Acharya Swami in Brazil. It was then that I immersed myself in an intensive 18-month journey of studies and earned a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate. That was just the beginning of my further studies.

In 2020, I started my journey into Indian Classical Dance, through which I am able to explore other facets of Yoga and dive into Hindu mythologies and devotional dance. Now residing and working in sunny Florida, I have expanded my horizons beyond borders, performing at prestigious festivals and events worldwide. My presence on international stages and classrooms has brought a wealth of experience and inspiration to my classes and performances.

I am a dedicated student of Egyptian Belly Dance at the renowned Dumuaini Studio de Jade el Jabel since 2018 and of Classical Indian Dance with the globally acknowledged Master Silvana Duarte since 2019. I have honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the nuances and artistic expression of dance. Additionally, during my career, I expanded my repertoire by studying pole dance, lyre, aerial silks, and tribal fusion, further enriching my journey as a movement artist.

Currently, I follow, practice, and am certified in a 200-hour Teacher Training in Sampoorna Hatha Yoga through the teachings of the self-realized master Sri Yogi Hari. My inclusive and passionate approach to teaching and practicing dance and Yoga creates a welcoming and inspiring environment for all my students.

I happily dedicate myself to spreading the message and practices of Yoga and dance to anyone who is interested. Are you?
